HowdocreatorIDchecks work?
A creator ID check is how an adult site confirms that you are an adult and that you are who you say you are. On BaddieVids every creator shows a government ID and completes a live face check before they can post, and the documents are private and never shown to fans. This guide covers what the check is, why it exists, what you need and what happens afterwards.
What the ID check is
The ID check has two parts. First you show a government-issued ID. Then you complete a live face check, sometimes called a liveness check, where the camera confirms that a real person is present and that the face matches the photo on the ID.
Together the two parts answer two questions. Is this person an adult? And is the person opening the account the same person as on the document? A photo of an ID on its own cannot answer the second question, which is why the live face check is there.
Why adult sites must do it
An adult site has to be certain that everyone who appears in its content is an adult. That is not something a site can take on trust. It needs proof, and it needs to keep a record of that proof. BaddieVids keeps 18 U.S.C. §2257 records, which are the age and identity records required for adult content under United States law.
The check also protects you. Because every creator has to prove their identity, nobody can open a page using your photos and pretend to be you. Fans know that the creators they find are real, verified adults, and that makes them more willing to spend.
What you need
You need very little. The check goes more smoothly if you prepare for a minute first. Most failed attempts on any ID check come down to a blurry photo, glare on the document or poor light on the face.
Use your real legal details for the check, even if you plan to use a stage name on your page. The check is about who you are. Your page is about who you choose to be for fans. The two are kept separate.
- A valid government-issued photo ID that is in date
- A phone or computer with a working camera
- Good, even light on your face, with no hat or sunglasses
- A flat surface and no glare when you photograph the ID
- Details that match the document exactly
Who sees your documents
Your ID documents are private and never shown to fans. They are not displayed on your page and they are not part of your profile. A fan sees your creator name and the content you choose to post.
This is the point new creators worry about most, so it is worth saying plainly. Passing the ID check does not mean your legal name or your ID goes on show. It also does not mean your face has to appear in your content. The check is a private step between you and the site.
What happens after approval
Once you are verified, you can post. From there you set up your page, decide whether it is free or paid, and start adding content. You can list single videos on Baddie Vids, the pay-per-view video store, and use the other ways to earn: pay-per-view posts and messages, tips, gifts through Baddie List and live streams.
If your check does not go through, try again with better light and a clearer photo of the document. If it still fails, or you are not sure why, email support@baddievids.vip or use the Contact page.
Collabs: everyone on camera is checked
The rule does not stop with you. If another person appears in your content, they must also be a verified adult, and they must agree in writing to appear. This applies to every collab partner, every time.
Sort this out before you film, not after. Content with someone who has not been verified, or who has not agreed in writing, should not be posted. If you are planning a collab and are unsure what is needed, ask support first.
